Dera Baba Banda, Vaishno Devi Overview

Dera Baba Banda is a Gurudwara around 300 years old and a major pilgrimage site for Sikhs. It is known for housing the ashes of Baba Banda Bahadur, the commanding soldier of Guru Gobind Singh's army, along with his arrow and a sword he used in battle. The Gurudwara's interior walls are decorated in gold-toned finishes.

Being one of the important religious centres in Kashmir, the Gurudwara Dere Baba Banda attracts a huge number of pilgrims, especially during the three-day Vaisakhi mela. The architecture of the Gurudwara is stunning with the interior walls glinting in the textures of golden shade.
