Penang Tropical Fruit Farm, Teluk Bahang Overview

Conserving the rare and exotic species of trees is the Tropical Fruit Farm on the hilly terrain of Jalan Teluk Bahang. Spread over 25 acres of land, the orchard is home to around 250 types of tropical and subtropical fruits with fruits from all over the world.

Malaysia being home to 370 species of edible fruits, Penang Tropical Fruit Farm provides a place to preserve them, helping people to see, taste and learn about them. The farm is set with greenery and colourful fruits all over, grown using organic fertilisers. The chemical ones are used only when necessary with the farm processing their own fertilisers made of fruit waste for providing a healthier and chemical free fruit collection and taste to the visitors. There are snacks, delicious fruit juices and BBQ Buffets provided too.

How to Reach Penang Tropical Fruit Farm

Penang Tropical Fruit Farm lies in the hilly region little far to the north of the State. Hence, if travelling by a city bus, one needs to change buses at some points according to the map. A direct 101 bus can be taken from George Town to Teluk Bahang. The bus will drop off at the main entrance from where one needs to walk up the hill for 5 minutes to reach the farm.

The shortest distance from Komtar, George Town is 27.7 kilometres, taking more than 50 minutes. One can also rent a taxi or book a cab or can drive to reach the farm directly which is a much better option.
