Avantipur Temple, Srinagar Overview
Avantipur Temple, on the banks of the Jhelum River in Pulwama district, was built in the 9th century CE by King Avantivarman of the Utpala Dynasty, making it over 1,100 years old. Now in ruins, it's known for its intricate stone carvings and is dedicated to both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.
