Kozakihana Park, Sasebo Overview
The westernmost point of mainland Japan, marked by a monument on a low headland above the East China Sea. There is little here besides the marker, a short path and the water, and that emptiness is the appeal: the sunsets face open sea with nothing in the way. Around an hour by car from central Sasebo, with no public transport worth planning around.
