I had a train to catch at 3 and hence didn't want to travel far from Purulia. Hence thought of coming here. This was quite a nice place to enjoy nature and the greenery ..not crowded at all...no hawk (Read More)ers like in theme parks..just loved it.

Make sure to carry enough water with you since the water available in Purulia is not purified everywhere. There is a dearth of taxis. However, buses, totos and cycle-rickshaws are available. The plac (Read More)es of stay at Purulia are not satisfactory. The guest house I was staying at had unclean washrooms and bedding. So, make sure to check-in at the right accommodation. Also, carry mosquito repellent with you if you do not want to be a victim of mosquito bites. Purulia is a dusty place so if you are allergic to dust or have other breathing difficulties owing to it, then make sure to take preventive measures accordingly.

- The connecting train from Howrah which runs to Purulia runs on all days except for Saturday.
