Psar Thmei, or the Central Market of Phnom Penh is an open market in a domed hall. This Art Deco building is a known landmark in the city.
Built in 1937, Psar Thmei was initially designed by French architect Louis Chauchon. The four wings in the building let you buy a variety of stuff, from clothes and jewellery to appliances and souvenirs. There is also a fresh food section, where you can also stop for a quick Cambodian staple to fill your stomach.
