Reviews for Paro Packages with our partner agents

Agent: Asia Valleys Tours

Ritu • a day ago

I recently completed a Bhutan trip from 20th April to 26th April booked through (Read More)Asia Valleys Tours and Travels via Holidify, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. From the very beginning, everything was well organized and smooth. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing enough time to explore while still feeling relaxed and enjoyable. Every destination in Bhutan felt special, and the arrangements throughout the journey were handled with great care. Mr. Bharat Gurung, the owner of Asia Valleys Tours and Travels, was very supportive and responsive. He stayed in touch during the planning stage, clarified all details properly, and made sure everything was aligned before the trip started. Even during the trip, he was reachable and checked in when needed, which made things feel more reliable. A big part of what made this trip so enjoyable was our guide, Sangay, and our driver, Dechen. Sangay was incredibly knowledgeable and shared deep insights about Bhutanese culture, history, and traditions in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He was always attentive, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Dechen, our driver, was equally wonderful. His driving was safe and smooth, even on the winding mountain roads, which made the journeys between destinations very comfortable. He was always punctual, polite, and had a calm and friendly presence that added to the overall experience. What truly stood out was the warmth, respect, and positivity both Sangay and Dechen brought to the trip. They were not just guide and driver, but became an important part of the journey—making it fun, stress-free, and filled with good moments. Their coordination and support throughout ensured that everything ran seamlessly. Overall, the trip was a perfect mix of scenic beauty, cultural experiences, and genuine hospitality. The professionalism and dedication shown by the entire team made this journey truly special.

Places to Visit in Paro

Paro Dzong: The Paro Dzong, also known as Rinpung Dzong, is a stunning example of architecture with a spiritual ambiance. The dzong looks fantastic when lit up at night, and the illustrations depicting the life of Buddha are genuinely captivating. Climbing to the top of the fortress is an experience, with a breathtaking view of the valleys. Thanks to his efforts, the country became agriculturally rich, and many people's lives were improved. The stupa is a beautiful symbol of the Bhutanese people's gratitude towards him. You would want to experience this marvel while exploring Bhutan.

How Many Days are Enough to Visit Paro?

To truly experience the essence of Paro, it's best to plan a trip for at least 2-3 days. Paro is not just about visiting famous landmarks but also about immersing yourself in the traditions and culture of the Bhutanese people. Take time to explore the local markets, interact with the locals, try the delicious Bhutanese cuisine, and participate in traditional festivals, if any, during your visit. Also, take day trips to nearby towns and villages to better understand the country. A more extended stay will give you ample time to appreciate the beauty and serenity of Paro and Bhutan truly.

Best Time to Visit Paro

If you plan to visit Paro in Bhutan, the best time is between March and May during spring. The hills look stunning with all the beautiful flowers blooming. However, October and November are great times to visit, especially for trekking. The weather is sunny during the day, and the temperature is usually around 20 degrees Celsius. But remember to carry an umbrella in case of seasonal rainfall.

However, it's better to avoid the monsoon season in Bhutan between June and September as there's a lot of humidity and rain. The dry season from late November to early March is another good time to visit, but it can get cold from early December to February. If you're on a budget, June to August is the low season, and you can get cheaper hotel rates and airfares. So plan your trip accordingly, and have a fantastic time!
