Mapro Garden, Panchgani Overview

Mapro Garden is a famous tourist attraction nestled in the beautiful hill station of Panchgani. Mapro is short for Mahabaleshwar Products, a brand name associated with delicious fruit-based products. With greenery all around, one will find a chocolate factory, a restaurant, a small nursery, children's play area and retail outlet selling Mapro products.

Mapro Garden was established in the 1980s as an extension of the Mapro Foods Factory which enabled visitors to see the production of jams and syrups. On realising that the customers enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, they began serving ice-cream to the visitors. Later, other food items made from organic ingredients were put up on the menu, and today, it has turned into an iconic tourist destination. An auditorium here showcases the journey of Mapro products, and you can also buy your favourite jams and juices after tasting them from the retail outlet that is present here.

Mapro Strawberry Festival

The main event here is the Mapro Strawberry Festival that is organised in the month of March/April during the Easter weekend. Raw strawberries and innovative strawberry-based products are showcased, and you can sample and taste the amazingly fresh produce as you like. Traditional dances are performed to the beat of folk music and is quite a spectacle to watch. An amalgam of colours, energy and bubbling crowds, Mapro's Strawbeery Festival is a unique celebration of nature and its gifts.
