Orange County Regional History Center, Orlando Overview

Set in a beautiful, transformed courthouse from 1972, Orange County Regional History Center offers an insight into the rich heritage and culture of Florida. Affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, the museum has five floors that display exhibits and interactive displays of Florida’s history from 12,000 years ago. The history ranges from the early days of Central Florida when it was a Spanish cattle ranching city to now being a theme park capital in the world. There are interactive displays about Walt Disney, a tribute to the victims of the shooting at Pulse nightclub in 2016, and a research library boasting over 17,000 collections of photographs, postcards, maps, and personal papers.
