The Windmills of Vivlos

The Windmills of Vivlos, Naxos Overview

A group of windmills is situated in the Cyclades region of Greece, on the hillside above the village of Vivlos. Being an important part of the island’s cultural heritage, the windmills were once used to grind wheat. These historically beautiful windmills stand amid gorgeous views of the island and the village of Vivlos, which is a short detour from Halki and Filoti.

The mills are built in the traditional Cycladic style with canonical walls and white-washed walls and are now preserved as a historical monument.
