The Whitworth, Manchester Overview

Located in Whitworth Park of Manchester University, The Whitworth is a majestic art gallery featuring more than 55,000 sculptures, paintings, textiles, watercolour art, and wallpapers. In addition, Whitworth houses an elegant glass restaurant serving delicious food and some shops selling art pieces worth exploring.

The building of Whitworth is designed in Jacobean style, beautifully crafted with terracotta on red bricks. A semi-circular porch, stone columns, and green rooftops make the building an architectural wonder. Modern artists like Henry Moore, Francis Bacon, William Blake, Pablo Picasso, and many others have contributed various famous works, including the marble sculpture Genesis to the vibrant exhibitions at Whitworth.
