Parc Natural de Mondrago

Parc Natural de Mondrago, Majorca Overview

Located in the southeast of the island of Mallorca, Mondrago National Park is one of the most visited parks of the island. Covering an area of 785 hectares, this was declared as a Natural Park in 1992. A day trip for bird watching here is ideal.

White sand beaches and the deep blue sea beside the natural park makes Mondrago Natural Park one of the favorite places of the tourists. It is an amazing area for hiking, swimming and bird watching. Cala Mondrago is one of the best places to take a dip along the east coast. It is sheltered by rocky outcrops and pine trees, with huge cliffs on it's side. Falcons and turtledoves are popular birds in the area. Also try spotting Algerian hedgehog, Balearic toad and Hermann's tortoise. There are paths along the coastline which connect all the beautiful beaches within the park. The closest town nearby is Santanyi or the coastal resort of Cala d'Or.
