Selcuk, Kusadasi Overview

Selcuk is a small town in Kusadasi that houses some of the most ancient Roman and Byzantine sites in the world. It is located on the Ayasuluk hill within the Izmir Province of Kusadasi, Turkey. It is home to the ancient Greek city of Ephesus. The Temple of Artemis, Library of Celsus, Basilica of St John, and two Greek amphitheatres are some of the oldest sites in this ancient city.

The Ephesus archaeological museum, which exhibits archeological findings from these ancient sites, is located within Ephesus. The famous Ayasuluk hill with the Ayasuluk hilltop castle and the renowned Mosque of Isa Bey can also be visited. There are several hotels and restaurants throughout the town. The Adaland Aquapark falls between the route to Selcuk from Kusadasi. Visitors can take a half hour ride on a minibus or taxi to Selcuk. Several boat tours from Kusadasi to Selcuk are also available.
