Traditional Windmill of Antimachia, Kos Overview

Antimachia Windmill, or the Traditional Windmill of Antimachia, is one of the oldest functioning windmills in Antimachia. Managed by the Amallos family, the windmill was built in the 19th Century and is still under production. A guided tour is available, where you can taste biscuits and breadsticks made from the flour ground in the windmill, all included in the entry fee.

Antimachia Windmill is easily accessible from Kos town via car or public buses, and there’s free car parking next to the mill. The tour includes the miller’s room on the ground floor, the flour and storage on the first floor and the windmill mechanism on the top floor. Other authentic Greek products are available in the gift shop with a long shelf life. The family is welcoming, and the whole experience is a history lesson in traditional Greek food production.
