Therma Beach, Kos Overview

Therma Beach, popularly known as Bubble Beach, is a beautiful rock and stone beach on the shore of the Aegean Sea. The volcanic hot spring separated from the sea through a loosely held rock barrier is the main attraction. Here the hot spring water from the nearby volcanic mountain mixes with the cool seawater and offers a unique and natural spa-like experience. There’s also a beach bar and other activities like a mud bath.

The beach is a 500 m steep downhill walk/ride from the car parking lot. The temperature at the hot spring ranges from 42-50 degrees Celsius (100-120 degrees Fahrenheit). This can be warm, moderately hot, or even extremely hot at certain portions. Check the temperature before plunging into the pool, especially with kids. A dip in the sea to cool it off would be preferable after the hot spring. The water's sulfur odor could be an issue for some people. There’s also a beach bar and other activities like a mud bath. Added with crystal clear waters and the scenic beauty of the converging mountains and the sea, Therma beach will surely give you a memorable experience.
