Sok San Beach, Koh Rong Overview

Sok San is a small fishing village located at the edge of Long Beach, in Koh Rong, Cambodia. It is a famous village offering authentic Cambodian Khmer village experience for the travelers exploring Koh Rong Island. It is easy to reach and offers crowds-free experiences of getting to know the fishing families and rural life along the crystal blue coloured, white sand beaches lined with palm trees. People also come here to spend a beach holiday in some of the luxurious bungalows overlooking the beaches on the other side of the village.

Sok San Village Activities & Tour

Unlike other villages, Sok San Village offers accommodation in all ranges. There are even a lot of cheap eating options and shops available as well, and you get the basic amenities quickly, which is hard to find in other villages.

There are group tours held to Sok San Village which starts from Koh Rong and takes you through the fishing houses before heading to the best beaches for kayaking, snorkelling and diving. There is a waterfall behind the village which looks beautiful just after the rainy season.

Sok San Beach is the most popular of all the beaches in this area, known for deep-sea diving, snorkelling, kayaking and its white sand shore offering stunning views of sunsets.

How To Reach Sok San Beach

You can get to Sok San Village by speedboats from the nearest pier in Koh Toch. There are direct boats from Sihanoukville departing every hour until 5 PM. It costs about 25 USD for a round trip per person. If you are planning to stay in any of beachside villas, transportation to Sok San village is usually included.
