The Lazy Beach, Koh Rong Overview
The Lazy Beach is a private beach located on the western side of the island of Koh Rong Samloem near the coast of Sihanoukville city, in Cambodia. Secluded from other islands and the mainland, it is a clean stretch of white sand beach popular among the tourists looking for beach day trips from the city of Sihanoukville. Travelers can enjoy many activities from swimming to snorkelling to boat trips in the Lazy Beach.

The Lazy Beach has silky smooth sand along the blue waters and is surrounded by dense tropical jungle. It is a semi-private beach, with pay per use basis of the areas of the beach. A hotel called Lazy Beach Resort in this coastline is the only place for accommodation and provides all the activities for the tourists. You can explore the beach as a visitor or stay overnight as a guest here. There 20 bungalows with balconies having hammocks, offering views of the coastline. They have restaurants, indoor games, a bar and a cafe. You can enjoy beautiful views of the sunset from the outdoor bar.
Some of the activities that you can enjoy in the Lazy beach include snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding, trekking and swimming. Depending on the season you are traveling, you can also take up the Bioluminescent Plankton tour at night, which gives you a glittering view of these green plankton in the ocean. All the watersport gears can be rented on an hourly basis from the resort.

How To Reach The Lazy Beach
Lazy Beach is located about 15km from the downtown of Sihanoukville. Access to this beach is difficult compared to others due to its remote location. The best way to reach is by boats that leave from the nearby Ochheuteal Beach. You can reach this beach by Tuk-Tuk for about 6 USD for a one-way ride. Boats from Ochheuteal shore takes about 2 hours to reach the Lazy Beach.
The Lazy Beach resort offers ferry services to the beach from Saracen Bay, but you need to hike for 40 minutes to reach the ferry point. The trail to this ferry is located next to Octopussy Bar at Royal Retreat Resort.
