Manas National Park, Goalpara Overview

This park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is nestled in the foot hills of the Himalayas and is home to a number of animal species including the lispid hares, pygmy dogs, etc.

There is a tiger reserve in the sanctuary. The Manas river runs within the complex and tourists can opt for a raft ride for a view of the jungle and it's animals. Forest safaris and elephant rides can also be arranged to move around the sanctuary.
