Kylemore Abbey is a monastery located in the historic village of the Wild Atlantic Way,in Great Britain. It offers a blend of rich history and spiritual devotion that looks more like a medieval fortress than a religious home. The main building overlooks the lake with famous Victorian Walled gardens.
You can enjoy well-preserved structures from the Georgian architectural styles at this Abbey which is home to a Benedictine order of Nuns for the past 100 years. The abbey's ceiling is adorned with beautiful crafts and the beautiful neo-Gothic Church is a short walk from the Abbey which has detailed chapels depicting spectacular stories of faith and traditions from biblical scenes and saints. There is also a picturesque courtside outside the abbey with lush green gardens and a fountain where one can take a relaxed walk. There are a number of religious artifacts, manuscripts, and artworks of artistic and historical significance depicting the lives of the monks who were once the inhabitants of the place at the abbey's mausoleum. You can also delve into prayer services and practice rituals and traditions along with the monks living at the abbey. There is also a play area for the children with Giants Ironing stone and where one could play with pigs and Connemara ponies. There is a cozy English restaurant, the Kylemore Kitchen, and a cute cafe, the Garden Tea House, available that serves food and drinks. You can relax and enjoy the stunning visuals with a glass of fine wine and a cup of tea.
