Lake Kawaguchi, Fujikawaguchiko Overview
The second largest of the Fuji Five Lakes but the only one with hotels, boats and buses, which makes it the base for the whole area. Stay on the north shore for the view: that is where Fuji sits across the water. The south shore has the station, but the mountain is behind you there. The lake has no natural outlet; a canal was cut in 1914 to drain it.
