The Little Mermaid Statue sitting on the shore of “Langelinie” cruise harbour in the old port district of Nyhavn is the smallest yet the most beautiful attraction in the city. Made with bronze depicting a mermaid becoming human, Edvard Eriksen designed this 4.1 ft tall statue.
The statue is built on a solid rock by the waterside, enhancing the beauty of the architectural design. Inspired by the famous character of Ellen Price, the statue is delicate, having two tails, contradicting the original character.
