The Christchurch adventure park was closed in February 2017 as a wildfire in the nearby area had reached the boundary of the adventure park.  It is a 358 hectares (880 acres) park with a 1.8 kilometres chairlift and initially 50 kilometres of downhill tracks and can fit 1200 bike riders every hour. Many trees in the garden were destroyed in the fire. The park opened only after ten months, in December 2017. Nevertheless, a visit to this adventure is a must for those who seek more than just thrills.
