Leone Beach, Chicago Overview

Situated in the Rogers Park Beach, Leone Beach boasts acres and acres of sandy areas to enjoy.

The beach organizes training programs, such as the Junior Lifeguard program - a training program that happens in the lake.

Renowned as the largest beach in Chicago, Leone Beach was named after Sam Leone, a park employee and a Navy World War I veteran, in 1966. The beach is laid-back and is great for just lounging around. While here, check out interesting things like vibrant art along the seawall and Crepes on the Beach. Or just make use of the amenities like the softball fields, basketball court, meditation, yoga, fishing, picnic areas, and a playground among others.
