Chari-Dhand Wetland Conservation Reserve is a seasonal wetland situated on the edge of the arid Banni grasslands and the marshy salt flats of the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, India. Covering an area of approximately 80 km², it becomes swampy during the monsoon season, attracting a diverse array of wildlife. The reserve is a haven for birdwatchers, hosting nearly 200 species of migratory and resident birds, including flamingos, common cranes, painted storks, and Eurasian spoonbills. In addition to avian species, the area supports mammals such as chinkara, wolves, caracals, desert cats, and desert foxes. The best time to visit is between October and February, when the wetland is teeming with wildlife and the weather is pleasant.
