Holburne Museum of Art, Bath Overview

This museum is located on the Great Pulteney Street which displays the treasures collected by Sir William Holburne. There are works by many famous artists and painters.æ

Located in the Sydney Pleasure Gardens in Bath, the Holburne Museum is the first public gallery in the city. It is home to fine art that was built around the collection of Sir William Holburne. The major artists include Guardi, Ramsay, Stubbs, Zoffany and Gainsborough. The grand facade and the impressive gardens are the best thing about The Holburne Museum. There are changing temporary exhibitions in this place. On the first floor you can experience themes of the 18th century with sculpture, paintings and porcelain. Just across the hallways there are some Golden age Dutch works and a few portrait miniatures. The top floor of the museum is home to pieces of the Golden age of British painting.æ
