Boom Chicago

Over the years, Boom Chicago group has streamlined their act to create an interactive masterpiece performed daily at the historic Rozentheater in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district. They started out as an international creative group specializing in improv.

The Boom Chicago group is based out of Amsterdam. With its faced paced, high energy setting, the sketch comedy piece presented by Boom Chicago will leave you in splits. The show is known for its inclusive approach by which the actors, music director and multimedia technician work in tandem to come up with the most creative, hysterical show. They accept and work on audience feedback on each day’s show. Locals say, no two shows by Boom Chicago are ever the same. 

Addressing vital socio-political issues drawing from Dutch and American social scenes. It’s take on issues like 9/11, data privacy and the extreme right, all the while melding it with comedy, has made the group wildly popular. After performing for over 25 years, Boom Chicago has now become a part of Amsterdam’s cultural scene.
