If you are planning a trip to Ajman from India, one has to take a flight to either Sharjah or Dubai International Airport. There are several direct flights available between India and these emirates. Air Arabia, Air India, Air India Express, Jet Airways and Qatar Airways offer direct flight service between India and Sharjah. One can fly from various cities such as Varanasi, Kochi, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Trivandrum and many others. Other option is to take a flight to Dubai and further take a bus or local flight until Ajman city.
As an Indian national, the visa for Ajman can be obtained online at emirates.com or at authorized centres present in various cities of India. However, one will require a sponsor before the visit who applies for visa on your behalf. A deposit of amount AED 1000 is also to be paid which will be returned once the relative leaves the country. For a short-term tourist visa (30 days), the fee is AED 620 and for long-term visa (90 days) the fees, is AED 1120 including application and typing fee. Ajman, without an international airport of it is own is linked to its neighbouring emirates i.e. Dubai and Sharjah by road. Both of these emirates are well connected to the international cities through regular flight service. Sharjah International Airport is also a base to local air carrier, Air Arabia, which connects Sharjah to other Middle Eastern countries as well as Indian subcontinent. However, owing to better connectivity to major European cities and Asian cities, Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi Airport are preferred. One can easily hire a cab or rent a car from Dubai or Sharjah to reach Ajman.¾
Situated almost in the middle of the all emirates, the emirate borders Sharjah, and is situated only 10 k away from Dubai in south. Ajman can be easily reached from Sharjah, Dubai, Ra's al Khaymah and Umm al-Quwain through a taxi. One can also rent a car to reach their final destination. It approximately takes 20 minutes to reach Dubai from Ajman main city.
