According to the state government, the primary objective behind organising this festival is to promote local cuisine amongst the tourists and locals. Apart from the food stalls set up by different restaurants and local eateries, a Cooking Competition will also be held at the Food Festival. During the competition, renowned personalities such as Pankaj Badhaouria and Michael Swamy may judge the competitors based on food taste, hygiene, the authenticity of dish prepared and food stall decor.
