Roads are the most economical way to travel to and from Dudhatoli. You can reach Dudhatoli from either Thalisan town of Pauri Garhwal (along NH 121) or Gairsan town of Chamoli Garhwal (NH 87). However, it is super thrilling to undertake the Dudhadoli trek instead to reach Dudhatoli!

Best time to visit Dudhatoli

April to June is the best time to visit Dudhatoli as it is summer here and also the best time for adventure. Avoid travelling during the monsoons or winters as heavy rainfalls and extreme weather would not be conducive to exploring the region.

To all the travellers planning a trip to Dudhatoli, Dudhatoli trek is a must! Since Dudhatoli is a hilly region, following the Dudhatoli trekking route is the safest option. This 25-kilometre trek stretch starts from Thalisanand ends at Dudhatoli via Peethsain. Another 10-kilometre trekking route passes via Gairsan. This path comprises of steep foothills throughout the track. On hearing this, one thing clarified for sure is that the Gairsan route is certainly not for the faint-hearted! However, either way, the panoramic views would accompany you throughout your treks!

Tips

Carry proper medication as Dudhatoli is a hilly region. Take precautions, especially while travelling with heart or lung-related issues. This tip needs to be seriously followed by those opting for Dudhatoli trek.
