Rules and Regulations While Renting a Car in Manila
- The minimum age for all the people going for self-drive rentals have to be 25 years and the maximum age for anyone is 60 years.
- The cars are segregated into categories based on the people that can be accompanied by them, namely compact, intermediate, and full-sized. On most online reservations you can only choose the category of the car you want to lease and not the exact model. The various models presented are subject to availability.
- On your car lease, you will be charged a tax of 12 %. You also have to pay a fine for cancellation, if you lose the keys or under ‘No Show’ or ‘Waiting Policy.’ You also have to pay some amount as a cleaning fee.
- Every time you lease a car, you have to pay a security deposit of around 10,000 Philippine pesos or others depending upon the place where you lease the car. After you return the car and they check it for damage any additional charge is deducted from the deposit and the rest amount is returned.
