Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kochi & Transfer to Munnar
  • Arrive at the Kochi airport and be transferred to Munnar.
  • On arrival at Munnar, check-in at the hotel.
  • In the afternoon, visit Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park - open as per the directions by the forest authorities) & Tea Museum.
  • In the evening, a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise.
  • Overnight stay at Munnar.
  • After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing.
  • Visit Mattuppetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu Viewpoint, Blossom Park, etc.
  • Time for shopping.
  • Overnight stay at Munnar.
  • In the morning, after breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is a world-famous wildlife sanctuary, and it is also called Periyar.
  • On arrival, check in at the hotel.
  • In the afternoon, proceed for a game viewing cruise on Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar, etc.
  • In the evening you can take an Elephant ride at Periyar wildlife.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Thekkady.
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Alleppey.
  • Around 1200 hrs check in at the houseboat and start your cruise through the rich and splendid backwater.
  • Relax at the deluxe houseboat.
  • Cruise along the village sides and paddy fields witnessing the core life of the Kerala villages for the whole day.
  • Overnight stay at the houseboat.
  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel/houseboat and transfer to Kovalam.

I had planned my vacation plan with insight trip although I was new to it. Everything was planned very well. We had conversation with Neha 15 to 20 days before our trip. She attended our calls till la (Read More)st day and she thought of everything before our trip started and it was managed very well. There were situations where things were out of control but she handled it very calmly. Till last day she was there until outs trip got ended. Overall we had a great trip and may be in future I can think of again planning with Insight trips. Thank you One thing which I didn't like was. It was mainly I had problems in Nainital. Rather than having a stay in Bhimtal . Stay should be there in Nainital because most of the tourist places is in Nainital. Every night going back to bhimtal was hectic. I lost almost 2 to 3 hrs everyday. Secondly driver should be experienced and he should have complete knowledge of where we are travelling. This will help us to visit more and more places in less time.
