The Prince Resort in North Myrtle Beach offers a mixed experience with some rooms being more updated than others. The location is great, with easy access to the boardwalk and nearby activities. The h (Read More)otel is perfect for couples and families with well-equipped kitchens and washer/dryers in some rooms. The pool area, lazy river, and views from higher floors are praised. Some minor issues were reported, such as a malfunctioning hot tub and strange service. Overall, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the hotel offers good value for the price. The on-site restaurant serves excellent Thanksgiving dinner and breakfast.

Bed Bugs were the last straw.
Location
I usually try to stay on the positive side of thingshowever during my stay in this hotel it was disappointment after disappointment. First the sliding door and lock to our balcony was broken, next we had a leak under our bathroom sink that soaked the entire floor, and things like that I can over look but the final straw was when my husband and I were laying in bed I noticed something moving on my pillow and when I looked it was a bedbug crawling around. Upon finding this I took a picture and went to the front desk to show the personnel working (its 1 in the morning by the way). I told her and she seemed unbothered by this and when I showed her the pictures she confirmed that it was a bedbug and told me she could give my family and I a different room but it will be an up charge for the move. At this point I would like to know how I can receive a full refund because: 1) This is disgusting, 2) I feel that I have paid more than enough for this room to not have to pay more for something that is out of my control, and 3) Customer service like what I received further shows me why this will be the last time Prince Resort will have my familys business. I am truly disappointed and disgusted by this establishment. Update: After speaking with the Customer service manager at checkout, their pest control company came out to inspect the room and confirmed the concerns I had with the unit. They called me to initiate the process of a full refund.
