Disappointing

The location is quite good for getting around the city.

The hotel was quite a bit below the brand standard. We had to ask several times for our towels to be replenished, the shower is lukewarm at best, when we did finally get towels they were not exactly clean, and we found a roach in our room. The hotel seems like it may have been really nice in the 90s but has definitely seen better days.

I didn't like the fact that you charge $20 to park the vehicle but does not say anything on the website about an extra charge to park the vehicle tried to hit me up in the morning time before I checked out saying that the parking lot is owned by another company

Disappointing

Should have brought my own blanket

Rooms are big and I liked that they had a chef at breakfast to make eggs, pancakes, etc

They dont provide a duvet with the bed. Literally only a sheet and a weird hard textured blanket was provided, the only way to describe it is a thin bath mat! As a result, I was very uncomfortable and did not sleep. Breakfast was also underwhelming. The bread provided was stale. Rooms are old and need renovating. Room key would only work after a few tries. Wasnt worth the money.

Thanksgiving Getaway Trip

The location is so convenient. The staff from the front desk to the breakfast staff were so nice and accommodating. I really enjoy staying here when I go to Houston.

Making sure I get the room I ordered. The first night (24th) was supposed to be a King with sofa bed and they put me in a double. When I called downstairs, she told me they didn't have any king rooms with sofa beds. Then when I stayed over on Saturday as well, I went down and Ashley made sure to get me in the correct room which was the King w/sofa bed. I let her know the heat never came on in 1821 so I was slightly cold all night. Ashley put me in 1718 which was perfect EXCEPT the toilet had to be flushed multiple times every time and the heat was not coming out. So the Maintenance guy came and fixed the heat (yay); however he ended telling me he had to order a part for the toilet and now it would be making a running noise off and on....ugh! I dealt with it since I did not want to move again.

Average hotel, less than expected for the crowne plaza name but not a bad place.

Staff were very nice, bed was comfortable.

Its just a tired, older property with typical issues for an older property without the proper budget to maintain it to the standards of how you used to think of the Crowne Plaza name. Elevators all worked, though some didnt have the display panel working anymore, others bounced and jerked more than they probably should. Theyve taken the time to print a professional sign and put it in a gold frame inside the elevator explaining that the display numbers dont work, so be sure to check the floor when you get off. The parking garage doesnt have an arm on the entrance gate so its not secure at all. The door from the parking garage into the building worked sometimes but not every time. But it looked nice enough inside, the rooms were comfortable (though the TV is small) and the staff were all very nice and professional. My one complaint is that the soap dispenser by the sink was empty, as were the body wash and shampoo in the shower. Thats clearly an oversight of housekeeping, but it all was fairly clean.

I enjoyed my stay. I would stay there again.

It was convenient and clean the staff was friendly and helpful.

I didnt like that there was only two ice machines and two didnt work. I had to go from the 3rd floor to the 17th to get ice.

Bad

Not worth the money nor lost time. Had to move rooms and was not comfortable with all the issues.

Location

Nothing like advertised on booking.Com site. First room, was not clean. Was Moved to second room, no amenities available at all as advertised and agreed, paint peeling off the wall, patched whole spots, old smell, only scorching hot water available to take a shower, no adjustments available. Second room was a total downgrade. Moved to 3rd room, tv was old and small, bathroom sink faucet was broken, no water pressure.
