Vietnam is home to three international airports situated at Hanoi (Noi Bai International Airport) in the North, Da Nang (Danang International Airport) in the Central part of the country and Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International Airport) in the South. One can easily reach the country from any part of the world through regular flights. Vietnam Airlines is their official airlines. There are many other airlines such as Aeroflot, Singapore Airlines, Air Asia, Air France, Asiana Airlines, United Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Asia that connect Vietnam to large number of other countries through direct flights. Some of those countries are Germany, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Philippines, Laos, Hong Kong, Russia, Thailand, India, Turkey, Cambodia, Indonesia, China, the United States, Macau, France, Qatar, New Zealand and many more.
There are regular bus services back and forth from Laos and Cambodia to Vietnam. However, make sure to have a valid visa before entering Vietnam, as the document is not issued at the border.
One can reach Vietnam by rail only from Nanning and Beijing, China. The Nanning Express stops in Hanoi, the capital city of the country at Gia Lam station. However, a trip through train is only advised when one is travelling to the northern part of the country, as the travel is not one of the most pleasing experiences owing to the slow speed of the train.
Vietnam is easily accessible from Cambodia and Laos via road. From Laos, Vietnam is connected through six border crossings namely: Lao Bao_Dansavanh, Cau Treo_Nam Phao, Nam Can_Nong Haet, Cha Lo_Na Phao, Na Meo_Nam Xoi, Bo y_Attapeu where as from Cambodia, one can easily reach the country via three border crossings namely: Moc bai_bavet, Vinh Xuong_Kaam Samnor, Tinh Bien_Phnom Den. However, make note that reaching Vietnam from Cambodia is comparatively easier than entering from Laos.
To reach Vietnam by sea, there are two ways of entering the country from Cambodia via Mekong Delta, which are by a ferry service or a cruise.
Vietnam can be conveniently reached from India via its two international airports Tan Son Nhat Airport at Ho Chi Minh City and Noi Bai International Airport at Hanoi. There are several flight companies that offer direct services from various India cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Aurangabad, Goa and Ahmadabad etc. Flight services that ply on regular basis include Air India, Malaysia Airlines, VietJet Air, Thai Airways, Malindo Airways, Singapore Airlines, Jet Airways, and China Southern etc.
