ok, so after booking a Meghalaya trip last year from Kiomoi, it was the time to explore Bhutan. I must say the trip was made equally memorable like Meghalaya trip last year, be it from preparing the i (Read More)tinerary till the completion of the trip. At every leg of our trip starting from Bagdogra to Phutshilong which is Bhutan border and further to Phobjika, Paro, Thimpu , Punaka we had a very good support offered. It will not be fair without mentioning about The GUide - Ramesh and Driver- Ganesh who were there 24/7 to help in case of need. Well done Kiomoi for arranging such a lovely and memorable trip. It goes without saying that both Vibha and GunGun from Kiomoi team were fabulous with the support. In every leg they were in constant touch to check if the trip was going smooth as per the plan. I had taken a North East family tour package (Kaziranga, Shillong, Cherapunjee & Guwahati) for 6 nights & 7 days through Kiomoi. Mr.Suman sent me an itinerary exactly as per my requirements. The tour (Read More)extremely well organised and everything went according to the plan. Ms.Gungun assisted us with the nitty gritties during the tour very well. Our driver, Mr.Pallab was superb with his knowledge of the areas we visited and polite behaviour. The hotels arranged for us by Kiomoi were awesome and some of the best hotels out there. The entire package was very economical as well.
Overall, I must say that the professionalism and responsiveness shown by the team from Kiomoi was excellent. Overall, our trip to Shillong, Meghalaya, was delightful. We didn't encounter any issues with the package; sightseeing and travel arrangements went smoothly. Phibha Villa exceeded our expectations – t (Read More)he staff, rooms, and everything were superb, deserving a 10/10 rating.
One minor concern arose when the driver collected parking fees from us. Although we had confirmed that the package included parking expenses, we chose not to create any disturbance during our stay and paid the fees. Am mentioning this to ensure it's noted, hoping to prevent a similar situation for future travelers.
While the driver was friendly and competent, we wished he had provided more information about the places we were set to visit. As a driver, being aware of potential traffic issues and advising us on the next day's itinerary would have been helpful. Given that we are tourists unfamiliar with the local dynamics, his guidance on travel times and distances would have been valuable. A detailed itinerary specifying the time each place might take to visit would have been beneficial. Despite these considerations, we thoroughly enjoyed the places we did manage to visit.

1. Initial Bus capacity booked for our group was very small in relation to our group size. Only after arguing with the Kiomoi representative on the evening of landing at the destination, our bus was c (Read More)hanged the next day morning to accommodate us and our luggage. I was requesting for the bus photos from the very 1st day only to avoid this kind of situation, but there was no response from Kiomoi in this regard.
2. Our trip voucher had mentioned inclusion of Welcome Drink at all our stays; but it was not provided even once during the trip.
3. Our trip voucher had mentioned the inclusion of parking charges at all the destinations; but we had to pay for this everywhere.
4. We had changed the hotel at Kaziranga which would be more accessible to the Safari entry points and had opted for a lower category homestay; The Kiomoi agent had promised to revert with the difference in tariff, but there was no further information in this regard.

Not recommended at all, kiomoi cannot stand on what they say at all. If you don't want to ruin your holidays, go for any other travel agency.
I made a booking through kiomoi and they could not stand (Read More)on the basic things they stated in the documents they sent.
Later when i asked them about the things they aren't standing on, they said that it was a technical glitch that they "never noticed" and now when i am already at the destination, i'll have to "manage".
You talk with a person from their side about any issue and the next person you are talking to will say something completely different, these people themselves were not clear about the package they are offering.
You'll see the difference in their attitude before and after you've paid and even after all this mess they made with my trip, they still used a very negative tone and loud voice while talking to me when i complaint.
Overall their services were awful and I'm not at all recommending this agency for any of the trip you're planning.

First thing first. I would like to thank Kiomoi for making my trip to Arunachal so amazing. I got to know about Kiomoi via some online travel marketplace. Soon I was contacted by one of Kiomoi's repre (Read More)sentative (Nitin) who was knowledgeable to advise places to visit and soon planned the tour for me. I was okay with the cost (which I must say was very competitive) and agreed to go ahead with the bookings. I was soon contacted by the operations team who booked the hotels and sent me the booking vouchers. I was initially worried and followed up a bit. Surendra from operations team was always very courteous. During my trip Laxmi from operations was my SPOC. Any problem (there was only one) was addressed immediately by Laxmi who made sure that my trip was not hampered. All the hotels were good. The car was very comfortable and our assigned driver(Brahma) knew all the routes very well.
Thank you Nitin, Surendra, Laxmi and the other memebers of the Kiomoi team. Will highly recommend Kiomoi and will come back for more. Cheers.

This is the most horribly organized trip ever. No contact from drivers, no one picks calls, no one intimates the plan or timing. They keep shifting drivers and cars in the middle of the road.
The ho (Read More)tels suggested for North East don't even have proper hot water facilities.
If permit is not allowed in heavy snowfall areas, they don't have any other plans for the day! Why should we sit in the hotel for paying so much money?

It was 5 days trip, the team in koimoi ensured to arrange comfortable travel and stay. Mr. Surrender and Mr Suman were the contact persons during the trip they ensured to stay in contact on phone ensu (Read More)rin safe stay and they make sure to arrange as per the requirement be it food, place with beautiful views. Our cab driver Raju chetri was very helpful in guidin us and made our trip wonderful. Overall thumbs up for the customer service.
Only thing to note is if you plan shopping in meghalaya n gauwhati avoid sunday as most if the stalls are closed.. Dat was a disappointment for us.

We were a couple who planned our anniversary tour in October through "Kiomoi" for Sikkim and Darjeeling...
We selected this tour operator because he offered us the best quote with good itinerary.
(Read More)We had planned our tour twenty days ago and we were made to pay 70 percent of the booking amounts initially before our travel.
We reached the Bagdogra airport and we were escorted to our hotel in Gangtok and than the NIGHTMARE started.
I had my sightseeing on day one and I was surprised when no driver turned up... Post following up with the tour coordinator I came to know that the driver wasn't available and so we couldn't do the sightseeing and whole day we sat idle and felt helpless. Next day, post many followups I finally got the driver details who was aligned for our sightseeing and to my surprise I wasn't given the permit to Nathula pass which was the main tourist attraction in Gangtok.
Third day the same story continued. No car available and no driver updates from tour coordinator. I finally arranged the driver myself and asked the operation manager at Kiomoi.com to pay the amount to the driver so that finally my tour progresses. The tour coordinator Mr. Anmol at Gangtok was totally inexperienced, arrogant and irresponsible. We again and again highlighted the issue to the operation manager at "Kiomoi" Mr. Surendra kumar Sharma but he too was clueless and hardly had knowledge about my itinerary and was continuously making goofups and was making alterations in my itineraries. Nothing went as planned prior.
The same story continued at Darjeeling... No driver aligned fr my tour to tiger hill which was at Four am..Till midnight am following up with Mr. Surendra for my driver details. I realized that it would have been better if i myself would have planned the tour rather than going through kiomoi as all the followups and all the coordination was done by me.
In addition to it, I was threatened by Mr. Biswas (tour coordinator at Darjeeling) that amidst the roads (in ghats) the driver would leave us midway, the reason being We were transferring the last five percent payment through net banking rather than cash. He threatened us that the transaction should be only in form of cash. A worst travel experience ever!!!!
I am a frequent traveler and I have traveled so often and so wide all over the world.. Putting all my bad experiences together of past 15 years, kiomoi bad experiences surpasses them all in one trip.
So guys if you are planning your tour or holidays with Kiomoi plz do be careful.

The experience with KIOMOI was really excelent. The memories i made were really everlasting.
Starting from the cab driver, he was a gentleman with a very good knowledge of the local area. Even i got (Read More)a free of cost upgrade for my Vehicle from a Wagon-R to a Swift Dezire.
The hotel Properties were great, with a very helpful and kind working Staff.

We booked a complete tour. Before we reached Guwahati a landslide had caused road closures. Kiomoi knew about it but didn't inform us neither Change the itinerary. As a result we got no site seeing th (Read More)is entire trip. The driver didn't know where most places were as he was not briefed.
Due to elections, the hotel in bomdila informed kiomoi to tell us to check in late. This too was not done. We had to wait in the reception till 4 pm for our room. Inspite of breakfast inclusion we were only given bread and butter. But the car was a good one and hotels were decent.

The sensitivity of our tour operator M/s Kiomoi is the poorest I have ever experienced.
When we informed Kiomoi that the driver wa (Read More)s drunk and it would be unsafe on ghat roads,the reply was” most of the drivers drink “.
When we were stranded on a ghat road due to brake failure ( the same driver and the heavily smoking vehicle),we were helplessly calling Kiomoi for some alternative arrangement, the response was very very poor and saddening.
FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART I WILL NOT RECOMMEND KIOMOI TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS.
I understand accidents happen and vehicles fail.
But that is when we need support and encouragement of the so called TOUR OPERATOR.
Precisely that was missing totally in our case.

We ( four of our families, all senior citizens) booked a trip through Kiomoi to Arunachal Pradesh. Our experience is very bad with them. They do not respond even for small queries before start of the (Read More)trip. Ex. one week was taken by them for correcting a typing mistake in the itinerary given by them. ILP was given in the last minute and they are not bothered whether we have a take a print of it and how many copies. During the tour, they arranged a bus which met with accident due to rash driving by the driver. Another bus was arranged but the driver came after fully drinking alcohol and the bus condition was so pathetic, giving full of smoke ( no one can sit in it and travel) and it failed on the way in the middle of the ghat road. No one (either Kiomoi or the transport contractor) bothered about alternate arrangements for us and we begged the other vehicle drivers going in that way for help. In the total tour, we did not visit even 30% of the places which are listed by Kiomoi. The tour is full of tensions and worries, instead of enjoying it, after spending so much of amount. I suggest, never never use this tour operator.

The transport arranged from Siliguri to Darjeeling left us on the main street from where we had to walk for around 1km.
When we reached the hotel after a long climb up, the manager said it's not the (Read More)right hotel and you have to go climb down.
We went to another hotel and again they said the same thing!
So we had to again climb up the former hotel since there was a "confusion". The only reason we did the bookings beforehand is to avoid the hassle and enjoy your vacation. That was ruined anyway, cause this wasted around 1.5h of our time and not to mention the long walks.
Now, though we had paid for deluxe rooms, we didn't get one because they didn't have any deluxe room available cause obviously the travel agency hadn't booked the rooms beforehand.
So we got a standard room (read as servant's quarter) with absolutely no view though we were almost on top, basically poor ventilation as well.
Upon asking the travel agent, he had the audacity to say it's the commute is a common problem in Darjeeling and the rooms are generally of this size.
I am writing this review after one hour of check in to the hotel

We had booked Meghalaya and Assam Vacation through this agency in December 2018. The service provided was pathetic. They never took initiative for any thing. Thankfully the driver booked was good, we (Read More)used to coordinate with the driver daily about the itinerary. We had specially include a site in the itinerary and had given special instructions to Ms. Aarti that the site should be covered in our trip. Driver had no clue where it was was situated so we called the agency, Ms. Laxmi started coordinating and told us she will call us with location the next day. On second last day of the trip we called her again and the answer she gave was even more disappointing. She said she had contacted the Guwahati agency and she taught that they must have guided the driver.
In short they only called when the tour amount was due for payment and never did any of the job they were supposed to do and hence we wasted much time arguing with the agency...

Everything went fine till the last day. We did not appreciate the change in car and driver for the last day and the refusal to show us around Ahmedabad. The hotel on the last day at Ahmedabad was also (Read More) bad. We were not given any opportunity for shipping which the ladies felt let down.

The tour was full of breathtaking scenes of nature but also faced breathtaking suprise charges.Many charges were kinda hidden as we as tourists were not informed about the heavy charges at sonmarg,gul (Read More)marg and other places.It costed more than 8000 everywhere. Even the hotel at patnitop was excellent(hotel patnitop heights) but the other hotel were bit clumsy comparatively.Overall it was good but not excellent as expected. Everything was well planned. Mr. Shubham organised the trip for us. It was from 16-22nd April covering Darjeeling-Pelling-Gangtok.
All the drivers knew the route and were polite.
The hotels:
Mysti (Read More)c Rodhi(Darjeeling)'s room gave us a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and it was away from all the noise.
Daizzo de Regency(Pelling) also offered us great view of the mountains.
Although it doesn't have wifi and the food was pretty mediocre.
Golden Crest(Gangtok) was also fabulous. It was a joy to stay there.
Kiomoi was affordable and everything was well planned by them.
