Waghai Botanical Garden, Saputara Overview
Waghai Botanical Garden, located approximately 49 km from Saputara in Gujarat's Dang district, is one of the state's largest and most diverse botanical parks, spanning 24 hectares. Established in 1966, the garden houses over 1,400 plant species, including rare varieties of bamboo like Chinese Bamboo, Beer Bottle Bamboo, and Golden Bamboo, as well as a dedicated cactus and succulent section. Visitors can explore various thematic plots, such as Arid Zone, Medicinal Plants, and Orchid sections, along with facilities like an interpretation center, library, and rest areas. The best time to visit is between October and February when the flora is in full bloom and the weather is pleasant.
