Paros Park, Paros Overview

Occupying a huge area of almost 800 acres on the Agios Ioannis Detis peninsula, the Paros Environmental and Cultural park is an important site of great ecological and historical importance. It is known for its magnificent rock formations, seashores with emerald-green waters and caves dating back to ancient times. It also has picturesque scenery and majestic flora across its hills. You can enjoy hiking on its three charted walking routes in the park's beautiful landscape.

If you want a more relaxed experience, you can enjoy swimming on one of the three bays inside the park, take part in events happening throughout the year or experience the surreal sunset at Cape Corrakas Lighthouse. The Park also has the facility of a restaurant bar where you can savour refreshments and snacks while enjoying the beautiful view of the park's landscape. The best time to visit the park is during the months of June to September when the greenery is at its peak, and a couple of events are also organised in the park. It was the first of its kind when it was founded in 2009, intending to preserve the Agios Ioannis Detis peninsula.
