The centre requires you to make prior appointment before visiting the place.

Housing one of the most advanced telescopes in India, the Astronomical Observatory in Nainital is an autonomous institute open of the public during working days and afternoons. For night viewing, three fours days are fixed during the full moon period, the permission for which has to be obtained priorly.
