Mountains calling one of the places that's suitable for winters and summers. Surrounded with mountains that gives an impression if they are calling you. If you visit Mcleodganj do have the Trihund trek is a recommended trek, what else you can do is visit local market a small water fall and some other places.

I went to Dharamshala and McLeodganj on a college trip. We ditched the trek and went to Bhagsu falls instead. Time spent there was pretty amazing, we went in the water and clicked some Instagram-worthy pictures! Next time I want to go there alone, find a place away from the tourists and read my book while eating Maggi in the mountains. The Tibetan mini market is a treat for shopping enthusiasts, you can find good woolen clothes and different Tibetan souvenirs at affordable prices (Rs. 100-500). Try negotiating the prices as the sellers usually overcharge tourists. Foodies also enjoy this place, I tried Shaphalay and loved it!

People will tell you it's 6 km trek but don't think it's a cake, all you need to have good trekking shoe and energy drink. Enjoy the sunset you have never seen before....

It is a wonderful experience! The snowcapped mountains the view u get to see ultimately after the trekk is worth it. The camping and bonfire is fun, the fire could have lasted a little long. It is chilling up there, we went in mid april. I just just loved it! A trip to remember!????

Considered as one of the most sought after treks in North India, this 2 day trek offers a rejuvenating experience in all. We reached Dharamshala,Himachal Pradesh around 4:45am and took a taxi to Mcleodganj, visiting Dalai Lama monaestary on our way and had a glimpse of tibetian Buddhist culture. After having breakfast at a tibetian Cafe, we made our way further to a rest house in Dharamkot. We began with the trek around 11:30 am for the next point, Gallu Devi temple. One can even take a taxi to Gallu temple from Mcleodganj. The Triund trail begins from this point and is not very steep initially and has multiple stalls offering various eatables but the price keeps on increasing as we move forward. The last kilometer, known as 22 curves is quite challenging but once conquered, scenic beauty the top-hill offers held us spellbound. The best part about visiting Triund in summers is star gazing when you really cannot take your eyes off the night sky. Next day, we woke up at the time of Sunrise around 6:30 am, had pranthas for breakfast and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Is paragliding available in mcleodganj?

Paragliding is available in Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, although not as popular as Bir or Billing. Billing is 60-70 KM from McLeodganj, so if you want to take part in the sport, you may include Billing in your trip.

The Kareri Lake-Minkiani Pass will not see snow in October. However, you may carry some amount of woolens or windcheaters if you feel unsure of the degree of cold.

Hi, how's the weather in first week of September and any idea about things to do and all.

McLeodganj is beautiful in September, with the devastation of the monsoon gone, and only the lush greenery that the monsoon leaves behind. You can undertake a lot to do here, being the beautiful place that it is. 1) Triund Trek (9 KM from Mcleodganj) 2) Bhagsu Falls 3) Dharamkot (village on the outskirts of Mcleod offering activities like mountaineering, an art gallery, and a research institute) 4) Naam Art Gallery (Specializes in artworks in spirituality. You can also buy) 5) Namgyal Monastery (Part of the Tsuglagkhang, and a peaceful buddhist abode) 6) Tsuglagkhang (The Dalai Lama's home)
