Payah Indah Wetlands, Kuala Selangor Overview

Paya Indah wetlands is an enthralling wildlife sanctuary located in Dengkil town near Kuala Langat and is one of the best places in Malaysia to relax in the lap of nature. Stretched over an area of 450 hectares, the wetlands are divided into three major zones namely Conservation & Research Zone, Educational Zone, and Recreational Zone.

Paya Indah wetlands are home to 210 exotic species of birds and various animals including hippopotamus, crocodiles, and porcupines among others. Explore the best of flora and fauna species, capture the beauty of water lilies, lotus, and other flowers on the lakeside and drown in the serenity of nature. 1. Bird Watching

2. Animal Feeding

3. Paya Indah Lookout Tower

Hop on the lookout tower and get a 360 degree view of the entire place and embrace the beauty of flora and fauna in the Payah Indah wetlands.

4. Fishing

Move towards Typha Lake to test your fishing skills. It costs around RM 10 per rod. Timings: - 8:00 AM to 6:30 pm except for Friday

5. Cycling

Rent a bicycle and explore the entire wetland park in a single go with utmost convenience. Bicycles are rented with a charge of RM 5 for 2 hours and tricycles charges are RM 3 for 2 hours.

6. Kayaking

Kayak boats can be hired for lake tours either in group or solo. Kayak charges vary from RM 6 to RM 7 for an hour.

How to reach Paya Indah Wetlands

Train: Board KLIA transit train from Kuala Lumpur to reach Salak Tinggi station. Take a taxi thereafter for a 20 minutes' ride towards Paya Indah Wetlands.
