The observatory allows visitors to get a panoramic view of the Likas Bay and the Tanjung Aru areas surrounding it and provides one of the best scenic views of Kota Kinabalu.

The fastest way to reach Signal Hill Observatory is to take a cab from the Kota Kinabalu town directly to the tower. The cab ride will cost no more than RM 15 from any location within the Kota Kinabalu town.
