Ferry to Koh Yao Noi

  • It is possible to reach Koh Yao Noi from the pier of Bang Rong, which is located on the eastern side of Phuket. Route no 4027 easts must be taken which starts from the Monument of Heroines and then you must take a right turn when you see Bang Rong. Then continue going along the same path for some time.
  • The ticket price for travelling in the ferry for one hour is THB 50 and it travels to Yao Noi only thrice a day. You have the option of departing either at 9:30 AM, at noon or in the evening at 5:00 PM.
  • Public speedboat ferries and longtail boats are also available from  Nopparat Thara Ferry Pier or the Ta Len Pier in Krabi
  • You can reach the island of Koh Yao Yai by boat and it takes another 8 minutes of journey to reach Koh Yao Noi. You also have the option to reserve a private boat from Ao Po to reach the island of Koh Yao Noi.

Getting Around:

  • Koh Yao Noi is a small island stretching up to just 50 km and comprises of most dirt roads. There are no public transport options available. If you want a ride, you can get the low-cost Tuk Tuk. However, the best way to travel is by hiring a scooter. You can generally get a scooter in the hotel you are staying at. There is no need for a license.
  • Bicycles are another excellent means of transport to cover the uneven, dirt-ridden roads of Koh Yao Noi. 
  • Do not leave your passport with the rental companies. You can photocopy your passport instead.
