Koh Lanta is a district in the Krabi Province off the west coast of Thailand and is located in the Andaman Sea. One can reach the island via three means. After landing the Krabi International Airport, you can opt for:
Krabi to Koh Lanta Transfer Express: For Adults, it will cost 1,979 Baht (INR 4314), and for Children, it is 983 Baht (INR 2,152).
Ferry: A ferry ride from the southern coast of Thailand will cost you 7,770 Baht (INR 17,000). However, ferry services are available only from November to April.
Taxi or Minivan: This will cost around 2,500 to 3,000 Baht (INR 5400 to 6500)
There are no specific local transportation options available on Koh Lanta Island. Hence, one has two options to get around on the island:
Scooter or bike: You can rent a scooter or a bike to explore the island yourself. The roads are quite well-maintained for the rides. It can cost up to 300 Baht per day during high season and 200 Baht at other times.
Tuk Tuk: Tuk Tuks are readily available on the island to ease your trip. You can either hire a tuk-tuk for an entire day or hire every time you are to head for a location.
