Argostoli Harbour

Argostoli Harbour, Kefalonia Overview

Argostoli harbour, on the bay of the capital city of Argostoli, is one of the few natural harbours in Greece. The picturesque harbour includes cruises, fishermen's boats, palm trees, and a black-and-white pebbled promenade area. It is the center of all the town's commercial activity and is constantly bustling with life. It is popular for romantic evening strolls and has a nice walking and cycling area.

Ride pedalos or electric boats on the Koutavos Lagoon located at the front of the bay. Here you can also witness some adult and sub-adult turtles. Take a boat tour or full-day cruise to Kefalonia Island's most famous beaches and towns. The De Bosset Bridge, which is the world’s longest stone bridge built across the sea, is located on the harbour. Enjoy a scenic walk along the pedestrian-only beach. The Fanari beach and Fanari lighthouse are popular tourist spots nearby. There are several shops, bars, and cafes along the harbour.
