Avithos Beach, Kefalonia Overview
Avithos beach is a scenic blue flag beach located 2 km southwest of Argostoli, the capital town of Kefalonia Island. The beach, with its soft red sand and shallow crystalline waters bordered by green hills and cliffs, is ideal for families. It is also famous for being a protected nesting place for Mediterranean sea turtles. Enjoy a session of swimming, snorkelling, or scuba diving in turquoise waters.
It has all facilities, such as sun loungers, parasols, showers, changing rooms, two taverns, and a beach bar. The small island of Dias is close to the shore.
