About Jhansi Museum

Jhansi museum helps us to relive the historical battle fought single-handedly by Rani Lakshmi Bai against the British and their Doctrine of Lapse under Lord Dalhousie. It is through various illustrations and weapons of Lakshmi Bai that we realize what a true patriot of colonial India was like and what was it to save one’s motherland to the natives. It also illustrates the Great Sepoy Mutiny in 1857 which changed the course of British history in India. Located within the Jhansi fort, both have a unique architectural aura which attracts the tourists.
