Mariamman Hindu Temple, Ho Chi Minh City Overview
Mariamman Hindu Temple is a small slice of South Indian tradition located in Ho Chi Minh, dedicated to Hindu goddess Mariamman. The temple features colourful carvings of Parvati, Ganesh, Vishnu and Brahma. The 12-m tall Rajagopuram houses the main statue of Mariamman flanked by her two protectors. Built by Tamil traders in the 19th century, the temple draws both the local Tamil community and Vietnamese visitors curious about its architecture.
