The Harsil-Sangla Trek along the Lamkhaga Pass� is the most challenging trek all along the Garhwal valleys. The Lamkhaga Pass that connects the north-eastern Garhwal and Himachal Pradesh is bounded (Read More) by a tantalizing landscape of snow filled mountains and mysterious atmosphere. The Harsil- Sangla trek is long and at times cranky and shaggy trek to the pass that involves steep ascents over the scree and the ice.

Its better than Manali.situated near river ganga.peacefull and cold.few hotels and food is good.better to visit when Yatra starts.dangerous to go in rainy season.

Some beautiful pics of harsil .there is a helipad just near harsil.visited once but want to go one more time.take winter clothes because it gets very cold at night.
