Oide Park and Suspension Bridge, Hakuba Overview
The composition on every Hakuba poster: a suspension bridge over the Himekawa, a thatched farmhouse on the bank and the peaks stacked behind it. Free, unstaffed and about five minutes by car from Hakuba Station, so it works as a stop rather than an outing. Cherry blossom in late April and the first snow on the ridge in October are the two windows worth timing for.
