Happy Bee Farm, Genting Highlands Overview

Situated at Genting Highlands in Pahang, the innovative and beautiful Happy Bee Farm houses a variety of bee and is well-known for the first-hand experience of bee farming. The farm provides all-round information about bees, flies and exotic insects, exhibiting their natural habitat and life-cycle.

Along with watching the unique exhibits and gaining insights about the operation of bee farm, the visitors can taste organic and delicious honey. There are live bee sections at the Honey Bee Farm with their habitat to learn about bee farming procedures and beekeeping techniques by the help of experts. The huge and unique collection at the Insect World and Butterfly Wonderland is a mesmerising sight too.

Bees

There are a number of live bees in the farm along with a famous see-through panel which consists of a huge tree with a colony of honey bees for an easy bee watching.
The collection of pollen and nectar along with honey production, the storing of honey, honeycomb building and many other activities can be experienced.
There is also an area to watch and learn the process of bee farming, making of raw honey by the experts and watching bees layering over them.
The visitors can go about and gain knowledge through displays about the life of bees, hives of various types and learning through stations about honey keeping, breeding, the honey extraction process, variety and benefits of honey, pollination process through pictures and audio-visual presentations.

Insects

There is a wide variety of insect species in the farm including strange and shining insects, subspecies, size variation of worldwide insects and colour variation of worldwide butterflies.
There are many interesting displays in the Insect farm with an artificial Three-Rhinoceros Beetle, the structure of one of the largest beetles and the Ladybird Beetle, providing creative and unique photography sights and attractions for the visitors.

How to Reach the Honey Bee Farm

One can easily hire a taxi and travel to the farm. It takes around 27 minutes to reach the farm from the centre of the Genting Highlands via Julan Major Philip Lim.
